What This Role Is Here To Do (Role Purpose)
As a Chef de Partie at Poolhouse, you’ll run your own section of the kitchen with skill, organisation, and pride. You’ll prepare and cook dishes to spec, lead by example on quality and consistency, and support junior team members with guidance and training. Calm under pressure and organised in your approach, you’ll be trusted to deliver dishes guests love while keeping your section running like clockwork.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead your section of the kitchen, preparing and cooking dishes to spec
· Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency
· Keep your section organised, stocked, and ready for service
· Follow and enforce food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
· Train, mentor, and support junior chefs, including Commis and Demi Chefs
· Flag issues with stock, equipment, or quality promptly to senior chefs
· Communicate effectively and positively across the kitchen team
· Contribute ideas for menu improvements and efficiency gains
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
· Strong cooking skills and proven experience in a professional kitchen
· Organised and proactive in managing a section
· Excellent attention to detail and standards of presentation
· Ability to lead, train, and support junior team members
· Calm and efficient under pressure
· Committed to hygiene and food safety practices
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Passion for delivering high-quality food consistently
